Sly and the Family Stone rocked out so much that I don't know if anyone remembers Canned Heat showing up (like the Doors often did at the Kaleidoscope...it was their home base and both groups were like "the house band"). I think Canned Heat made a "cameo" appearance and maybe played a song or two and took off. I think I heard they were recording across the street and were just taking a break?
