I was a 22 year old "Guest" at Fort Hood at the time (Last of the draftees!!). Great concert except for Joe Cocker, who was embarrassingly drunk and barely functional. Definitely woth the $10 though! Still have my ticket stub too! (See below)

It was HOT and the concessions ran out of drinks before the concert even started. I waited in line to buy a bag of ice for $5 (unheard of back then) and the guy 3 ft ahead of me got the last one. No food, no beer, no water. How did we make it? Oooo, that smell! Only in Austin. Maybe I had some gum. Carlos Santana ripped his guitar & said, "If you can beat that, come up on the stage and show us." JIMMY PAGE came on stage & jammed with Carlos and band-a couple of songs~It was unbelievable! I was 20 years old!
