Oh and to boot, the headliner ripped off the hit song from the opening act. I don't remember Animotion singing Obsession, but Power Station did it in their line up. Hmmm

I loved Power Station as soon as I heard Tony Thompson banging out the intro for Bang a Gong on Saturday Night Live (16 Feb 1985). But, when Robert Palmer left the band later that year Michael Des Barres was brought in to fill the gap.Jimmy Hodson and I took the MARTA train downtown to see them live and soon found ourselves surrounded by thousands of screaming pre-teens all fainting over John Taylor. What a disappointment.
