I'm pretty sure my then best friend, Preston Shrewsberry, went to Darryls house on Raper and was just given the tickets. Anywho...we ended up front row. One of the opening bands' bassist did "Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth)". Preston elbowed me, saying, "That's Cliff Burton shit, dude!."
The next day, I went out and bought "Kill 'em All."
The shared climax of that night was when, in the middle of his solo, Darryl looks down at Preston & I, stops, pushes his axe down to us, and...WE FINGERED PART OF HIS SOLO!!!
