Porl Thompson, formerly of The Cure, was playing rhythm guitar on that tour. He had been on one or two Plant solo albums. At this Page/Plant show, Plant introduces Porl to the crowd and the entire band went into an absolutely beautiful version of “Lullaby” from The Cure’s Disintegration album. Hearing Jimmy Page bend those string parts on his Les Paul was quite possibly the greatest thing I’ve ever heard. I don’t know why it isn’t listed on the set list.
