This was the 8th last concert of Nirvana. The tour had to be stopped and rescheduled in March after Kurt Cobain had been diagnosed with laryngitis, and eventually cancelled after the Nirvana frontman committed suicide on April 8, 1994, in his home in Seattle. At some point during the concert in Neuchâtel Kurt Cobain who struggled with depression said to the crowd: "I wish I were as happy as you are".
