This may have been the most disappointing concert that I’ve ever attended. He arrived late, played a very short and uninspiring set, perhaps one half hour, and left without any closing statement. It left an indelibly bad impression of him that has remained with me nearly 50 years later. Yet, despite this experience, I still give him credit for his music, which still resonates with me.
