There was a group that came on before Santana and tho I saw/ heard them do not recall a single thing about them. Santana was awesome tho they played the same set each day. The Dead, of course, play different music every day which makes seeing them on a multiday concert much more interesting. I saw more than a few Dead shows between 85 to mid 90s not so much because I considered myself a Deadhead - but my brother was totally a Deadhead. It was a very nice weekend, so quite dnjoyable to quaff a few brews and chill to the music of Santana - who were spot on - they were so good and of course the nellow vibe of the Dead. .
