Actually, this was in Bethlehem, PA, not Philadelphia.
Ian Hunter invited me to the afterparty with the Hooples and Aerosmith after this show. They were staying at the Holiday Inn where I was working, and when I saw Ian there that afternoon and told him I had to bus tables and miss the gig, he suggested I join them all in their rooms after, an infraction that would have resulted in my immediate dismissal. But I snuck up there nonetheless that night, and had a rollicking fun time, and a most memorable experience.
