Mötley Crüe / Y & T

I was a 15yr old juvenile Wild Child in TN state custody at the time (housed at TPS - Tennessee Preparatory School) and had to beg staff for weeks before the show to get first time permission to attend an off campus activity, but they finally relented and let me, Bubba Mahaffey and Rod (Steiger?) go to our first real concert. At 15yrs old this was my first concert, and I saw Mötley Crüe at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium with Dave Meniketti and Y&T (being the warm up band) and blowing me away with that screaming Les Paul sound. I’ve been lifelong fans of both Mötley Crüe and Y&T ever since and went on to see the Crüe about 5 or 6 more times over the years. This was one the best live shows I’ve ever seen and because I was chaperoned by TPS staff, one I mostly remember because I was 100% sober!
