Jay Clayton of Crywank attempted, across the 3rd and 4th of May 2024, to set a new world record for the most cities performed by an artist within 24hrs.
The Ferret, Preston, was the second venue on the list, with every show having a requirement of a minimum 20 minutes per set. Jay began his performance at The Ferret at 13:10, and finished at approximately 13:35.
The Ferret also hosted two solo acoustic artists prior to Jay's arrival - Kole Cook, and 'Toenails.'
Alongside the record attempt, there were Crywank posters available - as Jay is also fundraising towards medical aid for the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Despite it being a Friday afternoon, there were approximately 100 people in attendance at this matinee set. Jay also confirmed before leaving that Crywank will be returning to The Ferret later this year, but did not specify when.
