The Trilogy Tour Sep 26, 2024 (2 months ago) The O2 London, England, United Kingdom
Melanie debuted a brand new pink dress for the "Cry Baby" era at this show. This dress was worn only twice throughout the entire tour, its debut and once more at the show in Prague on 10/16/24.
Melanie also debuted a brand new maroon outfit with grey ruffled sleeves for the "PORTALS" era at this show. This was the only time she wore this outfit throughout the entire tour. However, the top was reused in a different outfit combination at the show in Madrid on 10/7/24.
This was the third time on the tour, fifth time including festivals, and seventh time overall, that Melanie debuted two new outfits in one show. The previous and upcoming instances were at Seattle on 5/10/24, New York City (Night 2) on 6/6/24, Osheaga Festival on 8/2/24, Lollapalooza Festival on 8/4/24, Paris on 10/2/24 and Milan on 10/19/24.
Prior to the show, Melanie greeted fans with VIP tickets for the "Trilogy Lounge Experience" by taking a quick peek through a doorway and waving. This was the first and only time she had done this throughout the entire tour.
Once again, less than an hour before the show, Melanie posted an Instagram story wearing her "Cry Baby" era outfit, along with a "💘" emoji and the location tag London, United Kingdom. This was the first and only time she posted her outfit before a show, as it was usually kept a surprise.
During the opening intro, the curtain—which usually falls right before "Cry Baby" begins, revealing Melanie—failed to drop on time. After a few seconds, only the left side fell, while the right side had to be manually pulled down by the crew from the bottom right side of the stage. This was the first and only time throughout the entire tour that the curtain failed to fall properly.
This show marked the final stop of the UK leg of the tour, though not the final show of the overall European leg.
This show was the second-largest venue played on the UK leg and the third-largest of the overall European Leg, tied with Lanxess Arena in Cologne and Unipol Arena in Bologna with capacities of 20,000.
This was Men I Trust's opening night as one of the two openers on the EU/UK leg of the tour. Previously, they opened for the first 10 shows of the North American leg.
Prior to the show, before Melanie’s set and after both openers had finished their performances, the venue music was accidentally turned up, blasting very loudly for about 1-2 seconds before being fixed.
