We were pretty close and I don’t remember the ice incident. We were all spread out with blankets on the grass and it was really fun. No fights or anything.

For Iron Man, Ozzy came out with a strobe light that looked like a bazooka. The next morning I was telling my mom about it and ahe forbade me from seeing Sabbath again. It was because it was that guy who bit the head off a chicken and he might have had a real bazooka!

It’s hard to describe to the young people today the chasm between us and our parents in the 1960s and 1970s

Yeah, funny that my friend just reminded me about Brownsville being there. The downer was Sabbath/Skynyrd fans throwing ice cubes at the stage during Frampton's set. Uncalled for, he was really good that night. Frampton got the last laugh though the next year with "Frampton Comes Alive". Needless to say he didn't use any recordings from that night!.
