he story of Harbor Lights... I had seen Mr. Lightfoot once before at Meriweather Post way way out in the field so you really could not see him or hear him. I found he was going to be at Pier 6 in Baltimore after writing to his home office in Toronto .... Gwen wanted to go because she liked his music too. Wayne was our driver and we got lost (always with Wayne) and went toward Towson instead of Glen Burnie!!! Dumb!!! We finally got turned around, found where we needed to be and had chairs way up and no where really close but at least this time we could see Mr. Lightfoot and hear him so clearly. We were so excited and he was singing all his songs so wonderfully! He went to take an intermission and casually took his white coat off and threw it out to the crown over all those chairs! there I knew in my heart and soul there was absolutely no way in
God's green earth I could catch that coat BUT that didn't stop me from leaping up on my chair and making a huge leap forward! I COMPLETELY CLEARED 6 ROWS OF SEATS AND MADE IT PERFECTLY ON A GENTLEMAN'S (GOOD LOOKING I MIGHT ADD) lap!!! Missed the coat! The band was laughing and when I looked back Gwen was literally rolling laughing on the floor!!! Wayne had completely disappeared!!!! What a night! What fun! and although I didn't get his coat, I didn't get killed by jumping over so many, I didn't lose my husband but he was none too happy and Gwen and I had the best time for an evening of song!!! I finally got to meet Mr. Lightfoot personally but that is a story for another time! LOL
