It was a good show. I had a press pass, and spent a good deal of time in the green room with Don and the band. Unfortunately the interview rights for the tour had already been sold to Time Magazine, so I couldn't publish any interview material. A friend and I had recently been in a UCD production of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead", and fell right in with Donovan as he was showing us an early version of "Happiness Runs In A Circular Motion". We improvised the "early music" accompaniment that became part of the arrangement that was eventually recorded... without us, alas!
