I remember this gig very well. there was a teachers strike at TAFE that day and the gig was just down the road from the Tafe college where I was studying Commercial Cookery. I quickly took my bags to central station, dropped them in a locker and got back to the gig in time to see the Zen Genies hit the stage, and blow me down if Mike Willey of the Spy's wasn't just sitting at the bar having a drink and a grand old time. I also remember when the Trilos played, they did a cover of highway star by Deep Purple and Mike got a bit over-zealous and fell off the very small stage out into the street, but, didn't miss a beat, kept right on singing, so RNFNR, a GREAT gig !!
