Commissioned by the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, Hardy's new song cycle composition BORN FREE will be premiered by acclaimed soprano Tiffany Townsend, pianist Alex Munger and violinist Edward W. Hardy. This piece, composed for soprano, violin, and piano, is inspired by Margaret Walker's poems Sorrow Home, Lineage, The Struggle Staggers Us, and Southern Song. Other works to be performed by Cory McGee and Tiffany Townsend.
