July 21, 1984 at Cal Expo in Sacramento. Dio with opening bands Whitesnake and Y & T. DIo was great, as was Whitesnake. This was the first of what would be many Y & T shows for me. I've seen them now somewhere around maybe 30 times. That was the shit for me back then seeing them on the In Rock We Trust tour. Great metal show. Pretty sure I went with my high school pals Doug and Wendell.

Whitesnake absolutely sucked. The keyboardist kept playing the wrong songs. Coverdale started ripping on him the second time it happened. By the 5th song he was fed up andnstormed off the stage. Worst set I've seen by a major act in my 40 years of attending concerts.
