In our inaugural edition, hardcore punk mainstays Discharge will return to Swansea to headline, with the raucous Raging Speedhorn providing further fury to the special guest slot. In addition, we have rounded out the billing with 3 further upcoming UK acts in the enigmatic blues-punk quartet Mother Vulture, the pit-inducing brutality of Inhuman Nature hot off the back of their tour with Crowbar and Welsh heavy music royalty Silverburn (featuring the local ingenuity that brought us Hark and Taint) completing a diverse line-up.
With the first edition being hosted within the prestigious Patti Pavilion venue in Swansea on Saturday June 29th - Day of Wreckoning is a statement of intent, a heightened platform for our underground, and an ambitious move forward for the South Wales initiative. It provides us with not only the opportunity to showcase some of the upcoming homegrown Welsh talent on a stage that roughly meets the size of the New Blood Stage, that the winner will grace at Bloodstock, but also giving these bands a chance to perform alongside some of the best the country has to offer in a local setting.
