I originally had tickets for the Grateful Dead show on 6/21/69 but I was sick the week prior with a flu. My dad, bless him, took off from his work in Elmhurst Queens and took my Dead tickets to the Fillmore box office and exchanged them for Iron Butterfly that was on the same bill as Blues Image. Unfortunately, Iron Butterfly cancelled but the other acts put on a great show which was my first ever. My only regret I should have gone to more Fillmore shows than what I did.
