The Working Families Party (WFP), the political party of the multiracial working class, is bringing movement based politics to Texas for their first-ever day party this SXSW. The WFP presents The Politics Stage at the Austin Motel on March 14. The event will feature performances by one of the hottest new names in alt-rock, “indie radical” (New Yorker) Bartees Strange; NY Times’ and Questlove’s favorite new “rich, infectious” (Pitchfork) R&B/soul artist Madison McFerrin; and 2022's breakout star Emmy Meli, who has amassed millions of streams and scored a Billboard Hot 100 debut for her anthem “I Am Woman.”
