On January 5, 1973, Bruce Springsteen released his debut album "Greeting from Ashbury Park, N.J." That night, he performed at The Main Point, a small coffeehouse in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, a suburb near Philadelphia. Springsteen had performed two earlier shows at the venue and would perform several more times between 1973 and 1975. In addition to hosting Springsteen, The Main Point was well-known for hosting intimate performances with some of the country's biggest musicians and comedians before they made their big break. Others who performed at the Main Point include Jimmy Buffet, Linda Ronstadt, Cat Stevens, Don McLean, Stevie Wonder, Gordon Lightfoot, George Carlin, Billy Joel, Bonnie Raitt, and many others.
