I was working for a small concession vendor at the time, we rented binoculars at different arenas and sheds between Richmond, Roanoke, Hampton, Hershey and Philly. We were hauling our gear to this show and the truck radio didn’t work so we had a little boom box we were using to listen to something on the drive down from Delaware. I think we were on the edge of the range for WHFS and we heard through static and dropouts. Static. Cobain. Static. Head. Static. Shotgun. What a sad day. And what a weird vibe for this whole show. I remember Eddie getting booed when he said they though about not playing that night.
