Swimming somewhere in the gene pool that spawned Paul Westerberg, Pete Yorn, Sondre Lerche and Sufjan Stevens, Jennings writes, plays and sings with the emotional awareness and force that makes a listener doubt his age. His songs are at once playfully literate and unmistakably catchy.
