The Newcranes comprised a group of young musicians playing up-tempo mandolin-oriented Ukrainian-influenced folk/rock music, who were based in the Derby and Nottingham areas of the UK in the early 1990s. The band comprised: Wolly (mandolin, main vocals), Mark (guitars, vocals), Micky (accordion, vocals), David (Bass guitar), and Chris (Drums). Wolly Dyszkant now records under the name
