Rue Melo was born and raised in Paris. Her mother was a dancer of French descent, her father an accomplished singer and guitarist in Uruguay. Rue comes from an artistic multi-cultural family. The members of the band are guitarist Martin Estrada, drummer Idris Tate, and bassist, Brian Bush.
