With over two million people in attendance, BTS’s 2019 Love Yourself tour is the band’s biggest tour by capacity to date. In Japan, they recorded a whopping total of 380,000 people in attendance for all five days of the tour. The concert tour was extended and was called the Speak Yourself Tour. The first concert was in Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl and was the highest-grossing show of the tour with 113,040 fans in attendance.
BTS was founded with seven members:

A reliable and strong internet connection is required to emerge victorious in the race for concert tickets. You might have to be or know a dedicated member of their fanbase to get exclusive information about their ticket sales.
Most BTS concerts last two to three hours, during which the band performs their biggest hits as well as some new songs from their latest album. There will also be a few fan interactions and opportunities for the audience to show their support.
You don't have to dress up too much for a BTS concert, but it is recommended that you wear something comfortable. A T-shirt and jeans will do but many also wear skirts, dresses, shorts, and other attire. But what you'll find most often are people dressed in various BTS merch. Be sure to show your support by purchasing some before the show.
A surprise performance at Wembley Stadium by attendees of the concerts and fans of BTS moved members of the band to tears. BTS’s loyal fan base, known as the ARMY, sang the band’s song ‘Young Forever’ from the stands to the musicians on stage. Jungkook and Jimin were the first to burst into tears when the fans, about 90,000 in the stadium, sang the song. The rest of the band members could not hold it in either and they were also seen crying on stage.
From their humble beginnings as a small boy band group in Seoul, South Korea, BTS has become one of the world's most popular and successful boy bands. With their insightful and introspective lyrics, coupled with energetic performances, BTS has won the hearts of fans all over the globe.
BTS is an acronym that stands for “Bangtan Sonyeondan,” a Korean phrase that translates to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts.”
According to J-Hope:
“[BTS] has a profound meaning…‘Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets…”
In 2017, the band announced the name would also stand for “Beyond the Scene” to extend the reach of their brand to younger fans attempting to move beyond the realities and expectations set for them by others.
While BTS is often categorized as a “K-Pop” band, they originally started as a hip-hop group. Today, BTS defies simple categorization, experimenting with a wide range of musical genres to capitalize on the talents of each of its members.
SUGA, j-hope, and RM, for example, break the K-Pop mold with their progressive raps while Jungkook integrates EDM (electronic dance music) into the band’s repertoire.
On October 17, 2014, BTS headlined their first concert tour: The Red Bullet Tour. During the first half of the tour, they visited major cities in South Korea, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Taiwan.
In 2015, they began the second leg of the tour and moved from Malaysia to the West, touring in Australia, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile. They ended the tour with a show in Hong Kong.
In total, BTS headlined 22 shows during the Red Bullet Tour and visited 18 cities in 13 nations across 4 continents.
In February 2019, BTS attended the 61st Grammy Awards and presented the award for Best R&B Album to H.E.R. for her self-titled album. This was the first time a band with all Korean members presented an award at the Grammys.
The art director for BTS, Doohee Lees was also nominated for the Best Recording Package for Love Yourself: Tear but lost to Willo Perron who designed St. Vincent’s Masseduction.
Yes, BTS has set over 25 Guinness World Records and doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon. With every new single, it seems like they’re breaking their own records.
In 2017, BTS set its first three Guinness World Records:
Since 2017, they have set many other world records. “Dynamite” alone earned five World Records between 2020 and 2021, for the most-viewed video on YouTube and the most viewed music video on YouTube.
Both of these records were shortly broken when “Butter” become the most viewed video and music video on YouTube in late 2021.
Yes, on January 15, 2022, BTS launched a fictional webcomics series titled 7Fates: CHAKHO on Webtoon. The series follows the Bangtan Boys as they go on adventures together battling the fictional beom and protecting the city of Sin-si.
17Fates: CHAHKO exceeded 15 million views within two days of its launch. This is the most viewers a webcomics series ever received on Webtoon in such a short period.
Although BTS was invited to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games hosted in their home country of South Korea, they, unfortunately, had to decline as they were already booked with overseas concerts.
Yes, in 2019 BTS was included in the “Artists” section of Time Magazine’s list of “The 100 Most Influential People” for that year. In 2018, they were also featured on the international cover of Time’s “Next Generation Leaders,” where they were dubbed the Princes of Pop and were included among the 25 most influential people on the internet between 2017-2019.
While BTS does not work directly for the United Nations, they do have strong relationships with the international body. Here are a few examples:
BTS is more than just a band, it is a group of seven global humanitarians who are doing their best to help make the world a safer and more sustainable place for us all.
