Tucanas is a group of 5 women who have been, since 2001, working on a project with percussion, voices and accordion. They write and compose all of their songs, inspired by their personal life experiences. They use their own body as an instrument, as well as traditional percussion instruments such as Brazilian "surdos" or African "cabaças", and others invented by them. The show has a strong scenic component, where they play with the rhythm and harmony, standing between the feminine sensitivity and the rude strength of percussion.
