Despite their continued reputation as a surfer band, The Beach Boys have experimented with many different genres over the last few decades, including traditional rock & roll, R&B, pop, jazz, psychedelia, punk, lo-fi, progressive rock, and more. Today, The Beach Boys are considered one of the most commercially successful, critically acclaimed, and longest-lasting bands in recent music history, with over six decades of success.
