Reisender is the moniker of Songwriter/Producer Paul Conroy. Conroy states he started writing for Reisender when he bought a neglected mandolin for 40 euros from a Flea Market in Stuttgart, Germany, and that the songs were mainly composed while street performing "under bridges and on street corners of 20 different cities in Europe." Conroy often characterizes Reisender as "Strassenmusik," German for "street music." His sound consists of heavy mandolin riffs, raw, emotional vocals, and a mesh of drum machines with cement bucket percussion.
