Misses Satchmo, a quartet led by the dazzling Lysandre Champagne on vocals and trumpet, presents an original, modern take on the works of Louis Armstrong, nicknamed Satchmo. The “Misses”, which comes from the fact that two of the band members are women, undeniably lead the show with their coquettish smiles and attitude. The group offers a cabaret-style mise-en-scène spiced up with New Orleans flavour, and the members’ complicity and love of music is infectious. Spectators are charmed from the get-go.
