Johnny Quest was an underground band, more or less, that played many venues in different states although they were best known in Raleigh, North Carolina where they were formed. Their largest hit was "The Heisman". They had a bad accident one night coming home from a show. There was at least one pretty severe injury and the van they were driving in literally blew up. After that, the guys all called it quits.
