Being mutual friends for many years with mutual music interests, Dare of the Day was naturally drawn towards each other. Their inspiration, musically and lyrically, come from bands such as Thrice, Rise Against, and Thursday. As a young band, Dare of the Day started out as a trio with more of a punk influenced sound. After playing a series of high school shows they amassed a solid fan base and decided it was time to head into the recording studio.
