Per Håkan Gessle (born January 12, 1959) is the songwriter and male lead singer of the Swedish bands Gyllene Tider and Roxette. He was born in Halmstad, Sweden. He was a founding member of Gyllene Tider in 1979, and together with a friend, singer Marie Fredriksson, started the successful band Roxette in 1986.
